Kathrin is dedicated, patient, and committed to her students. She will go beyond your expectations. Whatever your vocal goals, or style may be, rest assured, she will help you reach it. Our music team has benefited a lot from her lessons. - Marco Jericho (Redeeming Worship)
Kathrin Welte is a phenomenal voice teacher, full of energy and enthusiasm, and profoundly inspiring both as an artist and as a mentor. She encourages her students to find their own voice and to maintain a natural and relaxed stance, while reaching into emotional depths in performance and in practice alike. Kathrin has had a great impact on my attitude toward singing and performing in Montreal's folk scene. - Katherine
I started my singing lessons with Kathrin about three years ago. Her kind nature, positive attitude, and encouragement have kept me engaged and motivated. Coming from an operatic background, she has a keen ear for pitch and tone and has helped me iron out a few instabilities with my voice. I would highly recommend Kathrin not only for her knowledge and her years of experience, but for the open and welcoming environment she supports. - Krys
Kathrin Welte is an amazing vocal coach. She has excellent technique herself as an active professional classical singer trained at McGilll University. She has the articulateness, pedagogical skills and caring to transfer the proper techniques to her students. Her coaching sessions are interesting and varied. She has a knack for finding the perfect repertoire for her student’s voice. She knows how to quickly identify the key voice placement problems and finds custom tailored exercises to remedy them. After my weekly lessons I immediately hear and feel that I am singing more correctly with the proper placement and sound and much less effort. Her native German diction and flawless Italian and French are an extra bonus and model for me. I record my lessons and practice by listening back to them to integrate the learning. This is mmy 3rd year and I look forward eageRly to my lessons every week. - Maria
Kathrin has been my vocal professor for more than five years. Our classes have helped me from knowing nothing about singing to being able to sing and enjoy the fun of it. Her passion for teaching and her patience, in addition to her teaching skills, have made our classes enjoyable and productive. In my case, not being a mother tongue English speaker, she used creative methods to help me overcome some difficulties in my pronounciation. - Lucy
